Postdoctoral Fellowship - Beginning July 2025 or sooner

The Centered Space has an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join our boutique private practice in New York City. This two-year position is ideal for those interested in working in a private practice setting and receiving excellent training and supervision in a collegial setting. Areas of specialization and focus include Reproductive mental health, Perinatal anxiety & mood, General Anxiety, and Parenting. The ideal candidate is excited about this field and has some experience with matrescence, perinatal mood and anxiety, women’s health, parenting, or couples work. Therapists at The Centered Space work in an integrative and holistic way, utilizing a combination of CBT, DBT, ACT, somatics and relational psychodynamic modalities. Fellows will build up to a case load of 20+ patients. The position is virtual, requiring two evenings per week for full-time.

Requirements:

·       Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from APA-accredited program

·       If applying as a postdoctoral fellow, must have a Limited Permit

·       The full-time clinician will carry a caseload of 20+ patients, 2 evenings per week

· Previous training in couples and/or family therapy appreciated

·       The ideal candidate will take an integrative approach and have experience working from a relational and mindfulness-based framework. Knowledge of experiential modalities is a plus (IFS, SE, EMDR, AEDP)

·       The position is for 24 months, with the possibility to transition to a staff psychologist after the completion of the fellowship

·       Educational and promotional activities including writing articles for our blog and social media, and participating in networking and marketing

Compensation:

The postdoctoral fellowship is a fee-for-service position. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Benefits include malpractice insurance coverage, healthcare contribution, and training/professional development stipend. Each postdoctoral fellow will receive two hours of supervision and training each week, including group supervision and didactics, aligned with the postdoctoral fellow’s interests.

Licensed Clinical/counseling Psychologist/Licensed Social Worker

We are excited to offer an opening for a fully licensed psychologist or social worker. This position would be ideal for someone interested in building a caseload of reproductive and specialty niche clientele, teaching didactics, supervising postdoctoral fellows and/or other trainees, and enjoys collaborating on a team. You will be expected to provide 1-2 hours of supervision or didactics per week, and carry a caseload of 15-20 patients.

Benefits include health insurance, 401K, malpractice insurance. This is a fee for service position.

Licensed Reproductive Psychiatrist/Psych NP

We are looking for a warm, collaborative psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner trained in reproductive and perinatal medicine to join our team as a 1099. This means you will have flexibility to build your practice with us in addition to your own practice or employment elsewhere. Job is flexible, you may schedule your own hours. Team collaboration as needed with individual therapists, join us for didactics if you like but not a requirement.
